I am looking for a schachcomputer in wood that can run on batteries and have memory (can save games when turned off). Any suggestion of models? Anyone knows if Saitek President have memory and can save games when turned off? Really thankful for any suggestions.

Hi Tomas,

wooden chess computers with battery are very rare. Older Mephisto Exclusiv boards can be run with battery, but loose the settings when turned off.

Sufficient will be CXG Chess 3008, the SciSys/Saitek Leonardo/Gallileo and Renaissance series and the Saitek President is also capable of all your needed features.

I recommend a Galileo/Renaissace because you can add several playing modules. The President is strong but the software cannot be changed.
