was ich bisher nicht ganz verstanden hatte, war die Aussage, dass die neuen Bretter der Holzoptik des Phoenix angepasst wurde. Irgendwie finde ich, dass Brett und Phoenix gänzlich andere Farbtöne haben. Aber der Phoenix passt hervorragend zu meinem "Spieltisch"

Hi all!
I had my Phoenix just about 2-3 weeks before I got some problems. Everything was working fine in the beginning but then my problems was that the screen for play native chess computers freezes. No response whatsoever I tried and even tried Reset (many times) as it was explained in the manual. When I choose to play Retro chess everything works fine. When tried Reset I could read just below Mephisto Phoenix V4.00D
FailSafe Mode.
Sent it back from Sweden to Millennium 2 weeks ago and it just arrived there yesterday. A bit sad because I don’t know how long to be without the computer now…
BTW thanks to you all for very interesting posts here!

Nun stellt man sich die Frage, ob du den Tisch auf die Farbe des Phoenix
angepasst gekauft hast ... oder ob du besondere - noch nicht offen gelegte - Beziehungen zu Millenium hast.

Aber Millennium wusste nix davon. Kann natürlich sein, dass da übernatürliche Strömungen aus der Oberpfalz in den Münchner Landkreis eine Rolle gespielt haben

that's really bad luck. I hope it won't take too long until you get your device back. I really enjoy the Mephisto Phoenix and I hope there will be many new features, UCI Engins and retro chess computers in the future.

"Luck" got the better of me today - while moving the pieces to the chessboard to set them up, my bishop fell from about 10 centimetres away and hit the side at an angle.

I've had masses of these and nothing bad happened. But the first time with Phoenix...

The flaw looks like a small air bubble underneath the badly glued tempered glass on the phone's screen - from the outside it is smooth, no indentation is felt. Strange...

I am not sure, if it's really wood or something else. I can't either proof or either check it. Feels like plastic for me - or is it this special varnish? The bottom side of the board is definately wood!
But I have the same little dots - unfortunately.
Anyway .. I think, it's a tool ... and a tools will get some marks and spots when time passes and when you use them regularily ....
The pieces are made from wood and pretty nice, especially the velvet (Samt) on the bottom. :-)

Übrigens:

Wem der original Koffer zu groß oder zu teuer ist, der findet bei Musik-Thomann eine 60cmx60xm Tasche für das Phönix Turnier-Brett.
Innenmaße sind 57cmx57cm und das Brett passt wirklich haargenau hinein! :-)

Die Tasche ist eigentlich für eine "Grundplatte", wahrscheinlich eine Art Stativständer, gedacht. Sie hat zwei stabile Handgriffe zum Tragen, die einiges aushalten dürften.

Es fehlt lediglich ein Schultergurt (und die Ösen dazu) zum umhängen aber da kann man ja einen einer anderen Tasche anbringen. Figuren und Bedienkonsole kann man dann in einer separaten Tasche transportieren.

Ich möchte nämlich doch den Phönix zum SimultanTurnier mitnehmen und da brauchte ich schnell eine gute und sichere Transportmöglichkeit.

I ordered only the Phoenix computer without board in October 2022, because I already got the big board from Millennium (Supreme Tournament 55) a year before. I bought both from a well-known German chess online dealer (which starts with "N"). Before I ordered the Phoenix from this dealer at the end of October 2022, I had a detailed informational conversation by phone with the owner of the store. This detailed consultation also dealt with the nature of the two 55 boards: I understood the explanations about this to mean that the older board (Millennium Supreme Tournament 55) is made entirely of wood, even on the top side under the varnish. The new 55 Mephisto board, on the other hand, is actually not supposed to be completely made of wood, but partly of plastic ... I then only bought the computer without the board, because I don't need two 55 boards, even if the new board has the Mephisto lettering. But the information concerning the wood respectively the plastic is perhaps quite of interest...

Wie kann ich Sekundengenau eine Analyse starten?
Manchmal bekomme ich das Teil dazu, mit der Analyse zu beginnen und dann wieder nicht.
Das Handbuch gibt da auch nicht die Antwort, mit der ich etwas anfangen könnte.
Die Engine-Einstellungen sowie die Stellung selbst gebe ich ein, doch wie starte ich die Berechnung, bzw. kann diese stoppen?
Auch die verstrichene Zeit beginnt nicht mit 0:00.
Ich wollte eigentlich einen BT-Test durchführen.
