Hello.
I've been keenly reading along on this beautiful site for the last months. Maybe the time has come to unveal my excistence to you...
I'm 43 y.o. (like most of the members here, it seems...), a keen and active chessplayer in my local chess circle, with about 2100 ego, sorry Elo points.
In my Youth I advanced in chess strenght mainly through playing computer chess games, for want of strong human opposition. For this goal, I owned The Final Chess Card, a Genius/München (bought that in Brussels for +-2500 € (!)in the nineties

), etc.
With the introduction of (strong) Chess on PC, my small collection found itself tucked away somewhere. However and somehow, playing a Chess game on a PC is not the most agreeable pastime: Besides getting clobbered and abused these days, staring at a flickering screen for prolonged periods is rather unbearable both for the user and his family (who, as a rule, are dying to get online for ...something).
But, then I stumbled on Ruud Martin, and was immediately back in love with my old electronic Chess boards...
I hope you'll excuse me for using English on this Forum: I can read German (when adressing yourself to me, please do so in German

), but I'm at a loss when trying to express myself in the language. My mother tongue is Flemisch (or Dutch, as the Dutch say...

). I'm also very at ease with French.
Regards
