Hi,
Here are some insights from the test tournament game of Ivan: - I chose Maia 1800 as a challenging opponent - Both levels were 40/120 20/60 - Ivan fully complied with the clock controls (elapsed time 1:56:51 after move 40, 2:41:23 after move 60, and 3:39:45 after move 80) - its overall average time per move was 2m45s - max time was 8m31s (move#55) - per batches of 10 moves: 0s (in opening book) / 4m31s / 3m07s / 4m34s / 1m49s / 2m43s /2m14s / 3m28s - each move time (from external stopwatch control) and some of Ivan's clock display are listed within the pgn. Due to operator time Maia failed to comply with the first time control, few moves before the 40th. When Maia's clock reached 2:00:00 on Ivan's display, Ivan beeped, displayed 'time', then opponent's clock restarted from 0:00:00.

Re: Mess Emulator für diverse Schachcomputer ist fertig!
I tried it on MAME and did not notice anything weird with the clocks. It did not reset to 0:40 nor did it take extra long per move. The game lasted 77 moves and Ivan's final time on the clock was more than 3hr.
white was "me" (engine with fixed depth of 5 ply) black was Ivan at level 92. |

AW: Mess Emulator für diverse Schachcomputer ist fertig!
One fast automated game. Ivan as black, level 92, speed 500%. Ivan reached the timecontrol at move 34, then it claims "time" and resets the clock to zero. Maybe I wasn't attentive enough about the point when the clock reseted, I'll keep an eye on that.
But still: Ivan loses nearly every game on time on Level 92, as long as it is somehow balanced. |

I understand, thank you. I always use MAME at real speed and I didn't understand what you meant... but now I do.
