I had to remove the sides , then slide the metal front 'rail' (with Constellation on it) from left to right as it encloses the upper part with the sensorboard and cicuitry and the bottom part, and then the device opened. As usual you have to remove the ZIF (Zero insertion force) plastic flatcable (4 for the sensorboard, 1 for the control panel).

I was unfortunate that the one nearby the interruptor had browned/rusty contacts in bad shape (the 4 lanes were hackled possibly partially due to my removal of it). I decided to cut a part off, untill I had nice clean contact(s). However the ZIF receptacle (due to his age probably) didn't feel like nicely swallowing and locking in the ZIF cable. As the receptable was not made up of 2 closing parts, and I could not use a handplier neither, the simple act of trying to fix it, ended in a deception. None of the Zifs seem to nicely refit and resist their own outbreak once inserted. This is not the practise I had in the past repairing Matrix, Inkjet & Laster Printers. Likely the quality of the components and the age makes it resistant to changes.

I decided to abandon it, as the device already had been rewelded for an new output connector in the past as well, and nowadays I have the Conny 3.6.

I decided to remove the Eproms, one has a brown dot sticker on it, the other one a white dot sticker on it. The receptacles of the Eproms have the same color indications and the orientation is the same. Meaning the dot stickers on the eprom & receptacle point in the same direction.

I was wondering if the exproms between the Constellation & Constellation 3.6 can be exchanged ? Probably only the quartz is different and in effect the eproms are identical. I suppose the Conny (2Mhz) Eprom in a Conny 3.6 would actually be a conny 3.6 as well as the only difference is the quartz right ?

I saw the LEDS on the conny 3.6 blinked about twice as fast as my former fellow the 2Mhz.
