One way to see the difference from the front: Model 680 has "SENSORY BACKGAMMON" under the Saitek logo at the top-right, model 082 does not.
If marketing says that model 680 has a "10KB" ROM (8K*10bit = 10KB), then the "8KB" version probably isn't a Hitachi MCU?
