It's just a "short military date", not a serialization.
So "811123" just means "1981-November-23"

Did anyone ever decode the serial numbers of the Made in German Fidelity machines?
I don't think anyone ever figured them out. I wanted to try Mephisto once but to even have a chance you would need several people to list their serial numbers of the same model... ie Mephisto Europa and so on. It is partly why I had always put my serial number on the pages of my Website to be able to one day go back and look at them again.
