Good point. Definitely the Mephisto Phoenix will need to add significant value on top of what one can get for example with a DGT Pi or a tablet running picochess web. That said I am sure that this is going to happen, there is loads of margin to improve on the experience you get running picochess.

As I understand it, Mephisto Phoenix is not a device for using chess engines like Stockfish & Co. Rather, it is mainly about playing with old chessboard computers (CXG, Fidelity, Mephisto, Novag, Saitek, etc.) on a new level.
